Free Will writing workshop

Happy mature family couple of clients consulting legal expert, lawyer, solicitor about legal document signing, asking advice, question, talking, celebrating deal, house or medical insurance buying

Making sure the people we love are taken care of after we die is something we all want to do. An up-to-date Will ensures that your Estate, including any copyright interests and royalties, is distributed in accordance with your wishes.

Thinking about writing a Will but not sure where to start?

Join us on 19th March at 1pm at our Will writing workshop with our partner Bequeathed and our mother organisation PRS for Music.

Event description

The workshop will be an online webinar and will aim to provide PRS members with all the useful information they need for drawing up a Will, learn how to write a Will using PRS Members’ Fund free Will writing service, and answer some of the most frequently asked questions, such as:

  • What can I include in my Will?
  • To whom can I leave my Estate?
  • What assets are included in my Estate?
  • Can I transfer my copyrights and other intellectual property under my Will?
  • Can I leave my royalty payments to my beneficiaries?

Our specialist guest speakers will be David Roberts, Head of Charity Engagement at Bequeathed, and Leigh Luke, PRS for Music Contact Centre Manager for Member Support.

David will run through the benefits of Will writing, breaking down myths about the process and Leigh will talk about support from PRS membership.

At the end of the workshop there will be a Q&A session, you’ll have a chance to ask any questions you have about Wills and you should leave feeling ready to get started with writing yours.

At the end of the workshop there will be a Q&A session.

Karen Fishman and Melissa Manski from the PRS for Music Legal team will also be available to answer any questions regarding the PRS constitution and rules that apply to successor membership.
