We are proud to announce that the Fund’s General Secretary, John Logan, received a BASCA Gold Badge at the ceremony on the 13th October at the Savoy Hotel. The awards are sponsored by PRS and PPL and celebrate exceptional support of British songwriters and composers.

After 40 years working at PRS, John has supported members in many different ways. He joined the Index department in 1973, and in 1978, he was appointed Deputy Registrar. At the same time he became Assistant Secretary to the Benevolent Fund, and in 1985 was appointed General Secretary, becoming full time in 1990.

The Gold Badge Awards have been running for 42 years. Among John’s fellow recipients this year were Mark King, Peter Gabriel and Leo Sayer.
