For PRS member Ben Biggs, that support came in the form of the Free Will Writing Service, a partnership between the Fund and legal specialists Farewill.

Like many of us, Ben had put off writing a Will for years. “I never seriously thought about needing a Will until two important things happened,” Ben explains. “Firstly, I bought my own one-bedroom flat without a mortgage and, secondly, in recent years my health has been deteriorating significantly.”

After suffering a life-changing disability in 2022, getting his affairs in order became Ben’s top priority. However, the perceived complexity of the process acted as a barrier. “I wasn’t sure how the process worked, how much it would cost, or what questions I would be asked,” he admits.
